Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage project cost accounting, including tracking expenditures and budgets for construction projects.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and enforcing adherence to requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support project decision-making.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure accurate tracking of project costs and financial performance.
• Conduct financial audits and coordinate with external auditors during the audit process.
• Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with cash flow management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable as needed.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management on improving financial performance and operational efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of financial accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software packages and strong Excel skills
