Controls Engineer
The Controls Engineer will design and implement safety and operational control systems for new and modified press equipment. You will be upgrading/modifying existing equipment and supporting new equipment installations in stamping shops.
1 year contract!
Hybrid, Must be in office on Tuesday and Thursday
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience in PLC / HMI programming
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley/Rockwell, ToyoPuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Fanuc CNC, Beckhoff
- Experience with Proface HMI
- Skills in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Project)
- Experience with equipment installation and commissioning
- Ability to manage and complete tasks on multiple projects concurrently

responsibilities:
- Design, layout, program, and troubleshoot HMI, PLC, and Safety PLC systems.
- Create and install panel, field device, and hardwire layouts, including wiring as needed.
- Develop main motor and drive (including servo) layouts, with installation and wiring.
- Conduct risk assessments, evaluations, and buy-offs with full documentation.
- Supervise vendor installations and manage partial/full line commissioning.
- Collaborate effectively with Controls, Seibi, and Project Management teams.
- Develop and lead creation of stamping-specific Controls standards.
- Contribute to the creation of risk assessments, schedules, and project KPIs.
