Analyst, Talent
Position Summary:
Vista’s Value Creation Team seeks a dynamic, highly motivated Analyst to join the Talent practice.The Talent practice accelerates the growth and development of Talent & People teams within Vista's 85+ portfolio companies. The team creates value in Vista’s investments by driving operational excellence through the lens of Talent, in close partnership with Operating Managing Directors, portfolio company management teams and Vista’s investment teams.
The Analyst will play a critical role in providing Talent-centric strategic insights and executing Vista Talent best practices that enhance portfolio company performance and drive positive investment outcomes.
This role is remote (Chicago preferred) and is for an immediate start.
Responsibilities:
The Analyst will report to the leader of Talent Operations and support a variety of value creation activities across the Talent practice, including:
- Support Talent-centric diligence efforts for prospective portfolio investments, including outside-in analyses, talent practice operational maturity reviews, and talent analytics
- Provide Talent value creation planning and execution support for new portfolio company investments, including project timelines/budgets, analyses, and best practice implementation
- Enable the value creation efforts of current portfolio companies by leading talent/people data collection, synthesis and content creation across areas such as recruiting, compensation & benefits and workforce fluctuations, as well as Management team excellence initiatives (e.g. executive assessments).
- Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis to support key portfolio and firm-wide decision-making processes. Produce executive-quality presentations for both portfolio company CEOs/CHROs and Vista senior executives.
- Improve upon existing (and build new) tools, resources and databases to gather data and process it into usable dashboards.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Demonstrate a high level of professional maturity and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience of demonstrated impact in a people analytics, management consulting, or data intensive role
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication capabilities, with proficiency in modeling, data visualization and the presentation of complex information in a clear, concise, Executive-level manner (e.g., PowerPoint)
- High self-standards resulting in consistently high-quality deliverables
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Predictive Analytics experience with focus on workforce trends and outcomes (preferred)
- Experience analyzing compensation & benefits design (preferred)
- Ready and willing to learn; desire for growth and continuous improvement outstrips ego

The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other components may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package
