Cafe Manager
The Catholic non-profit Trinity House Community-with a mission to inspire families to make home a taste of heaven-is seeking a Cafe Manager, with a servant-leadership and mission-oriented mentality, to manage its wholly-owned LLC, Trinity House Cafe + Market in Leesburg, VA.
The successful candidate will lead a team - according to ministry values - that includes a Chef & Kitchen Manager, Market Manager, Inventory Manager, barista/cook staff, marketing staff, and volunteers.
Depending on the candidate's needs and seasonal needs, this can be a 20-25-hour/week position or up to a 40-hour/week position. Candidates with finance, project management, and marketing abilities and experience can choose to work more hours.
We are open M-F from 8-3 and Sat from 8-5. We are closed on Sundays. Any candidate should have a half day of availability on most Saturdays and experience in food/coffee service.

Responsibilities will include:
Set a servant-leadership and missional tone for staff, in alignment with Trinity House Community's mission, values, and "welcome, listen, serve" approach;Oversight of Cafe + Market staff and operations; staff reviews; regular meetings with non-profit Directors;
Controlling costs, and increasing revenue for Cafe + Market, communicating with non-profit Business Manager regarding payroll and accounting;
Working with marketing staff for Cafe + Market local marketing efforts;
Hiring, onboarding, training, certifications, and staff meetings for Cafe + Market;
Ensure compliance with VA Health Code and Alcoholic Beverage Commission regulations;
Maintain weekly staff schedule, approve timesheets;
Cover cafe shifts when needed;
Lead staff in giving superior customer service; improve speed of service;
Oversight of Chef & Kitchen Manager and staff for production of quality food and drinks;
Keep up with coffee and tea industry standards and incorporate into staff training;
Oversight of staff to create seasonal offerings and menu updates;
Oversight of staff for clean and well-organized facility;
Oversight of inventory ordering and stocking, some ordering, maintain strong vendor relationships;
Perform routine maintenance of equipment and facility;
Keep POS system, inventory lists, recipe books and cards, shift lists, menu boards, signage up to date;
Keep cash drawer balanced and supplied with change, make cash deposits, keep tip records.
Further responsibilities may include:
budgeting and accounts payable;oversight of Market Manager and market inventory in collaboration with Directors;
playing a key role in strategic planning, implementation, marketing, and growth for the Trinity House lifestyle brand, in collaboration with the Directors, Market Manager, and marketing staff.
