Overview:

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Transportation and Parking Services (TPS), this role serves as a utility player to support a dynamic suite of transportation and parking services. The Transportation System Support supports each area of the TPS portfolio, including Permitting, Enforcement, Event Logistics, and Campus Mobility Services.

This position is temporary.

Responsibilities:

Program management and administrative support (6%)
  • Serves as the primary support for parking technology, including the permit management system, commuter management system, parking access systems, parking occupancy systems, real-time arrival screens, bike management system, and transit-related technologies.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact between TPS and University Services IT for projects requiring resources from the IT team or that operate on the Princeton network,
  • Assist with reviewing administrative processes to ensure continuous improvement while taking responsibility for maintaining accurate standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provides data analysis with Microsoft Excel, Tableau, or other reporting tools
Cross-functional support (20%)
  • Coordinate and support events to engage the University community and promote various TPS services.
  • Work closely with the Transportation Program Manager and other team members on cross-training to ensure team members can support various functions as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison to The Service Point, resolving escalated cases and improving customer-facing processes.
  • Contribute to department-wide initiatives and University events, assisting with special projects and team-wide objectives.
Communication (15%)
  • Address incoming customer service requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses and facilitating escalations when necessary.
  • Create content for multiple communication channels (e.g., signage, email, website and apps, social media, etc.) to promote parking and mobility services.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining a TPS communication schedule to support awareness and coordination across TPS and campus partners.

Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in program coordination or customer service.
  • Organizational skills to handle several projects simultaneously, accommodate shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated experience resolving technical issues
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient copy-editing ability and experience with content management platforms (e.g., Drupal, WordPress, Canva)
  • Experience preparing materials and logistics for meetings and events.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a diverse university environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information and issues using discretion and judgment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in higher education, hospital, airport, or public agency parking and transportation programs.
  • Experience in transportation and parking management systems (e.g., T2 parking software, TripShot, etc.) or similar systems.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar customer service platforms.
  • Experience troubleshooting technologies such as network equipment, sensors, computers, and software.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel, etc.) or similar systems.
