The HR Analyst II assists the Administrative team in performing various HR functions such as recruitment, benefits administration, recordkeeping, and general HR support. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, while handling sensitive information and decision-making related to employment actions and compliance.
Examples of Important and Essential Duties:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Collaborates with leadership to recruit and retain highly skilled employees.
- Leads the recruitment process, from initiation to offer acceptance and onboarding.
- Coordinates new hire orientation and conducts employee familiarization tours.
- Benefits Administration:
- Processes benefits elections for new hires, qualifying events, and termination of benefits.
- Provides assistance and resolves benefit-related inquiries for participants.
- Leave and Compliance Management:
- Tracks and ensures compliance with employee leaves of absence (FMLA, CFRA, PDL, etc.).
- Maintains accurate records in line with legal requirements and organizational policies.
- Recordkeeping and Documentation:
- Maintains accurate employment records, both paper and electronic, in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Assists with responding to salary surveys as directed.
- Employee Relations:
- Administers the performance evaluation process and tracks employee certificate awards and renewals.
- Supports investigations into employee relations issues and assists in implementing related initiatives.
- Exit Process:
- Administers the employee exit process, including paperwork and exit interviews.
- Special Projects and Other Duties:
- Assists with special projects as assigned by the Director of Finance and Administration or other Executives.
- 5 years of HR Experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in using HRIS systems
- Paychex experience is a plus
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to ensure Compliance with HR policies and regulations
- Knowledge of LOA practices - FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and workers’ compensation
