Customer Service Representative - Robert Half

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Government sector, located in Santa Barbara, California. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity, where you will be the first point of contact for our customers, handling inbound calls and providing exceptional customer service.

• Handle inbound customer calls and inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Provide exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues and providing necessary information
• Accurately enter customer data and order entry into the system
• Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for email correspondence and data management
• Schedule appointments as necessary, ensuring smooth operations
• Monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action as needed
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently
• Balance call center customer service responsibilities with other tasks
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the call center. • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within a government setting
• Demonstrated ability to handle inbound and outbound calls professionally and efficiently
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for data entry and management
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer queries and complaints effectively
• Experience in call center customer service is desirable
• Strong written communication skills for email correspondence
• Ability to schedule appointments and manage calendars efficiently
• Experience in order entry, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
