Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Biomed Team Lead to join our team. In this position, you are responsible for assisting the Biomed Manager in managing and directing refurbishment, repair and distribution activities of the Biomed Department. This includes but is not limited to ensuring department’s employees and resources are utilized efficiently, in accordance with the department’s given objects and key performance indicators to promote patient quality and satisfaction.

  • Assist with special projects and other departments in line with business needs
  • Assists the Biomed Manager
  • Assists with development, update, maintenance, and conformance to operational policies and procedures
  • Brings ideas for process or efficiency improvements to manager
  • Builds interdepartmental and cross-departmental relationships
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, vendors and other departments both verbally and in writing to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner
  • Complies with applicable laws and regulations
  • Conducts coaching sessions to identify opportunities and recognize positive behaviors
  • Consistently meets productivity measures
  • Contributes to the attainment of a safe and healthy work environment by promoting awareness
  • Develop and motivate assigned employees and ensure they have the necessary tools and information to effectively perform their job
  • Develops, maintains and constantly improves working knowledge of products, services, rules, and regulations

  • Ensures associates are practicing safe work habits, ensuring a safe work environment
  • Ensures team members are on task with assignments
  • Establish relationships with department peers and other departments
  • Identifies team and individual training needs and assists manager in developing plans for immediate and long-term performance improvements
  • Identifies the most appropriate course of action for problem resolution and effectively communicates plans to the manager
  • Issues disciplinary action as needed for attendance, work performance and policy violations
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse working environment
  • Manage and oversee employees
  • Monitors and documents employee performance results and communicates to the manager
  • Monitors team progress through service observations and feedback
  • Monitors workload of associates, collaborate with the manager to ensure employees meet company expectations
  • Operate necessary test equipment
  • Participates in special project activities by providing additional information and training
  • Practices safe work habits, ensuring a safe work environment
  • Pro-actively solves problems and provides timely feedback to the manager for resolution to ensure minimal impact on department objectives
  • Promotes a supportive environment in which employees are encouraged to solve problems and address issues
  • Provides guidance, motivation and support to enable employees to become more proficient and to broaden their knowledge and capabilities
  • Volunteers and performs other duties as required or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Employment is contingent on
  • Background investigation (company-wide)

  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
Required Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
Preferred Education and/or Experience
  • Associates Degree or equivalent, preferred
  • Experience in medical field and administrative record management, preferred
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, preferred
  • One year of related work experience, preferred
  • Strong customer service background, preferred
  • Three years of supervisory experience, preferred
Skills and Competencies
  • Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking and listening
  • Warehouse and office environment; primarily indoors, but some outdoor work may be required
