Tax Accountant

You will also be responsible for staying updated on the latest tax regulations and changes to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses leveraging your accounting knowledge and CPA certification.
• Use your experience with Drake Tax software and other Accounting Software Systems to enhance the efficiency of tax procedures.
• Contribute to tax accounting processes and reviews, ensuring the accurate representation of Profit and Loss statements and Balance Sheet reviews.
• Stay abreast of tax regulations and changes to ensure compliance, implementing these in your work to maintain the utmost accuracy.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to provide tax planning and advisory services, utilizing your skills in Auditing, Compliance, and Entity Formation.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information.
• Continuously improve your skills and knowledge in the field of tax accounting and financial reporting, with a focus on Financial Statement analysis, QuickBooks Online operation, and understanding of S-Corps, Form 1120, and IRS Form 1065.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in a tax accountant role or a similar position
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Thorough understanding of Accounting Functions
• Demonstrated experience in Auditing processes
• Strong knowledge of Compliance regulations and procedures
• Experience in Entity Formation is advantageous
• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements
• Proficiency in Drake Tax Software and QuickBooks Online
• CPA Designation is a MUST
• Experience with S-Corps is highly preferred
• Familiarity with Form 1120 and IRS Form 1065
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
