As a franchise location of Pet Supplies Plus, we will not only work with pets and fellow pet lovers, we will be an integral part of the community! Pet Supplies Plus is focused on making it easier to get better products for your pet(s). This easy to navigate store will offer a wise assortment of natural foods, hard goods, and pet services.Friendly, knowledgeable staff get to know each pet and their owner by name and provide playful store experiences to remind them just how fun it is to own a pet! Pet Supplies Plus stores are large enough to house an incredible variety of food and equipment, yet small enough to still feel neighborly.
In addition to selling supplies for pet owners in the community, this location provides grooming and washing services to our guest's PAWsome pets!
Who are we hiring?
Are you ready for a dog-gone good time? We are on the search for a positive, motivated and pet-loving leader to join our team as a Shift Manager!
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the operational management of the franchise operations including obtaining
- Perform all pet store operations according to franchise and company policies and procedures; this includes ordering, inventory control, invoices, shrink control, shelf maintenance, receiving, verifying vendor deliveries, product rotation, planning and implementing merchandising plans, pricing, housekeeping, and sanitation/safety, maintaining 5S, and building equipment.
- Act as the Manager in charge when the Store Manager and Assistant Manager are not present. Responsible for providing direction to staff, establishing priorities and communicating expectations to employees. Ensure team members are aware and adhering to the franchise standards, policies and goals.
- Assist the team in successful execution of franchise merchandising programs and visual exciting displays to maximize gross profits and create positive guest experiences. Reinforce the franchise brand and image standards and confirm employees are adhering to these standards.
- Responsible for assisting with accurate bookkeeping and cash accountability for the store. This includes completing daily deposits and placing cash orders for the next day. Verify General Ledger weekly and report errors to the Pet Store Manager and Pet Store Assistant Manager, in addition to any overcharges and credits.
- Promote a guest-focused approach to growth by creating and holding employees accountable to an atmosphere of enthusiastic personalized guest service. Ensure guest service is given highest priority by greeting each guest, offering to help, proactively share pet supplies knowledge, and thank them with sincere care and concern that exceeds their expectations. Promptly respond to guest concerns and properly record and report their requests.
- Lead by example to create a culture that engages employees, builds team spirit and morale. Train, coach and mentor on how to drive sales through consistent executional excellence of operational standards, in-store promotional excitement, product knowledge and guest service.
