The Advanced Products and Solutions division of Raytheon is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Integrated Project Team (IPT) Lead for a multi-discipline engineering team supporting Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) products in a factory production environment.The individual must be self-motivated and will work with a cross functional team including engineering, factory management, program management, and operations assembly and test. This position will reside in the Surveillance Manufacturing Engineering department.
You will be the manufacturing support of the Multi-Spectral Targeting (MTS) system variants produced in the Mc Kinney, TX Consolidated Manufacturing Center. This is a first shift role (start times can vary between 6am to 7:30am depending on business conditions) and standard workdays will be Monday through Friday.Occasionally, there will be required weekend work, approximately once every two months, in support of a weekend rotation schedule.
What you will do:
- Managing daily assignments and metrics related to engineering efficiency and response times
- Leading team tasked with resolving technical issues, improving test yields, and reducing test cycle time
- Troubleshooting systems failing test, identifying failure cause, and dispositioning hardware for repair
- Operation of mechanical, electrical, and optical test equipment
- Investigation of failure trends for root cause and implementation of corrective actions
Qualifications you must have:
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) related discipline and 5 years’ engineering / manufacturing experience or an Advanced STEM Degree and minimum 3 years’ engineering / manufacturing experience
- Past experience leading root cause corrective action investigations
- Leadership / mentorship experience
- Experience reading mechanical drawings and/or electrical schematics
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications we prefer:
- Experience supporting or developing an Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) product
- Experience with EO/IR systems in a production environment
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Experience in data analysis for identifying trends and improvement opportunities
- Basic electrical engineering knowledge such as understanding of Op-Amps, Multiplexers, ADC/DAC, etc.
- Basic mechanical engineering knowledge dimensional tolerances or testing and troubleshooting
- Basic systems engineering knowledge such as flow down of system requirements to test
- Experience managing priorities on multiple tasks

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
