As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, tax returns, and various accounting tasks for their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of individual and business tax returns.
- Conduct audits and reviews of client financial statements.
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Collaborate with clients to address accounting and tax-related inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Provide support during tax planning and compliance processes.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification or candidate preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, and tax preparation software).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
