Senior Cost Accountant

We are in search of a Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Lewisville, Texas. In this role, you will be entrusted with the task of collecting and analyzing business activity data, maintaining data related to import supply chain, and conducting physical inventories.
You will be working in the industry and using your skills to ensure accurate accounts and effective cost management.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data related to business activities such as raw material purchases, labor costs, benefits costs, and factory overhead.
- Maintain data relating to the full import supply chain for finished goods and other imported materials, which includes container costs, fees, handling charges, etc.
- Conduct analyses of changes in product design, materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs.
- Update item costs as required based on changes in product design, materials, manufacturing methods, or services.
- Prepare reports on direct labor and product development labor information for distribution to relevant management personnel.
- Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Assist in the closure of the General Ledger at the end of the month and the year.
- Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program.
- Reconcile all inventories of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.
- Undertake other assignments and responsibilities as directed by management.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
- Proven expertise in Cost Accounting
- Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting
- Familiarity with Standard Cost Accounting
- Ability to work in a senior role and lead a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
