Responsibilities:

Under general direction, perform finished product and in-process testing procedures. Provide resulting information to Manufacturing, Process Engineering and Product Development as required by specification or as assigned by management.
  • Perform all tasks in a safe manner
  • Understand and fully utilize all ISO procedures, control charts, histograms, , and other SPC tools and measurements; recommend improvements based on statistical data and observation.
  • Operate all diagnostic equipment needed to perform job
  • Perform all in-process and finished product testing as required by specification or as assigned by management.
  • Calibrate all testing equipment in the lab when required
  • Coordinate with Quality Engineer, Shift Supervisor, Line Leader, Production Technician, Process Engineer, and other Operations team members to resolve issues or discrepancies.
  • Actively participate in safety, product, and compliance audits
  • Enter correct data into Quality Windows, perform analysis of data, and report trends that indicate process issues.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the QA and Operations teams.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers as well as co-workers to solve problems and enhance capabilities of the team
  • Train others as needed
  • Other duties as assigned. Active participation in root cause and corrective action from CIOs and NCMR findings.
  • Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization and know product drawing specifications and tolerances.
  • Must meet production output requirements in a timely manner.

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Undergraduate degree or related area preferred.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Physical / Cognitive Requirements:
  • The candidate must be a team player and able to make decisions under pressure with a cross functional team of individuals and be flexible to work with all shifts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding work priorities.
  • Ability to read charts and document numbers and events on paper and in computer.
  • Ability to read electrical indicators and laboratory equipment indicators.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Understands goals of the group and interacts with digital and basic computerized record & control systems
