We are looking for an Order Entry Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role primarily involves processing customer orders and maintaining detailed records of transactions and inventory. You will be required to use software for efficient order processing and collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently input customer orders into software
  • Verify order availability and monitor customer credits and order statuses
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain inventory
  • Provide real-time inventory updates and handle customer concerns professionally
  • Generate invoices, issue credit notes, and handle purchase orders
  • Offer freight quotations and process freight claims
  • Ensure secure document storage and maintain detailed records of transactions
  • Handle non-technical issues and provide updates on deliveries
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and report to the Operations Manager when necessary
  • Receive and handle purchase orders, ensuring efficient order processing. • Proficiency in answering inbound calls with a professional and courteous demeanor
  • Experience in order entry and maintaining accurate records
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively
  • Ability to create, manage, and issue customer invoices accurately
  • Experience in handling purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality of work
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data entry and record management
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
