Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (includes a 60-minute break)

Pay: $48/hourly

Job Summary:

This is a 26-week assignment requiring a 5-day work week, including weekends. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide comprehensive patient care, focusing on dysphagia, speech, and cognitive assessments and treatments.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with dysphagia, speech, and cognitive disorders.
• Provide therapy in medical units and the ICU, including areas 5C, 4C, 4A, and 3C.
• Assist with provocative testing, such as Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure integrated patient care and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions.

Qualifications:

• New York State Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license (required).
• Certification in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech and Hearing Association (required).
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Experience in acute care hospital and ICU settings (preferred).
