Garden City - Controller

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the financial services industry. Based in Garden City, New York, you'll play a crucial role in managing our accounting and billing processes, as well as liaising with various departments and external parties.

• Manage and oversee all aspects of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Conduct regular meetings with various departments to discuss and review accounts
• Coordinate the approval system for payables and assure correct coding to general ledger accounts
• Ensure the completion and accuracy of monthly general ledger reconciliations
• Manage accounts receivables and ensure timely payment
• Prepare and coordinate the annual financial packet with internal and external stakeholders
• Act as a liaison with bank representatives and specific vendors
• Oversee the renewal process of the annual line of credit
• Work closely with the 401(k) provider and actuaries, organizing regular meetings and webinars
• Review and reconcile payroll contributions semi-monthly with actuaries
• Display proficiency in understanding JURIS financial reports and transferring the information to excel spreadsheets
• Regularly prepare tax returns and manage tax-related matters
• Participate in year-end financial and tax planning activities.
• Proven experience with ADP
• Financial Services
• Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
• Solid understanding of accounting functions
• Demonstrable experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Extensive knowledge and experience in auditing
• Ability to manage and oversee budget processes
