Staff Accountant

We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for performing daily cash reconciliations, maintaining general ledger account reconciliations, and contributing to team efforts in our industry.
This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily reconciliations for multiple internal and external accounts
- Analyze and process incoming customer deposit transactions
- Assist in cash analysis and monitor cash disbursements
- Compile monthly sales reports and maintain accurate transactional records
- Prepare and review reports and ad hoc analysis as requested
- Safeguard and record petty cash transactions
- Update and maintain fixed asset software, schedules, records and documents
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Maintain and follow systematic internal controls
- Provide support for process improvement initiatives
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience with Bank Reconciliations
- Familiarity with General Ledger management
- Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries
- Proven experience with Month End Close procedures
- Proven experience in MS Excel (pivot tables, v lookups etc)
