Accounting Clerk (Part time)

Work as an Accounting Clerk in Middlesex County for a manufacturer:

Under the direction of the Financial & Credit Controller, the position requires the ability to assist effectively with both accounts receivable and accounts payable responsibilities. The candidate will be responsible but not limited to maintaining accounts receivable records, recording payments to customer accounts & performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and process of accounts payable transactions.

• Maintain accounts receivable customer files
• Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash. etc.
• Prepare daily check deposits
• Maintain and update AR cash journal
• Communicate with customers via phone & email
• Monitoring customer account details for non-payments & delayed payments
• Answer accounts receivable inquiries and provide follow up
• Corresponds with customers as necessary in order to update accounts

• Review and enter approved invoices in the system
• Sort and match invoices to receipts
• File invoices for payment
• Prepare Accounts Payable invoices for weekly payment process
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date
• Vendor file maintenance
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
