CNC Lathe Set Up Machinist

We are a precision machining company specializing in high-quality components in the aerospace field. We are seeking an experienced NC Lathe Setup Machinist to join our team. This role requires expertise in setting up and operating NC Lathe Machines to ensure efficient production and high-quality machining.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience setting up NC Lathe machines.

salary: $50,000 - $90,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

Set up and operate NC lathes to produce precision components per engineering drawings and specifications.
Install and adjust tools, fixtures, and materials to ensure optimal machine performance.
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and work instructions.
Perform first article and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
Make necessary machine offsets and adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.
Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to ensure smooth production flow.
Work closely with programmers and quality control personnel to optimize setups and processes.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all safety standards.

The essential functions of this role include:

manual lifting up to 25lbs
working up to 4 hrs of overtime per week

Blueprint Reading (1 year of experience is required)
