Software Engineer (All-Level)
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and delivery of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) modeling and detection software. Interface with Department of Defense (DoD) software and systems engineers, support contractors, and CBRNE Subject Matter Experts (SME).Contribute to all aspects of the software life cycle including but not limited to requirements definition, software development, documentation, testing, deployment, support, and maintenance.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications including new applications development, modifications of existing applications, and transition of legacy applications to new technologies.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine design feasibility.
- Collaborate with customers, analysts, engineers, and others to obtain system performance requirements and interfaces.
- Develop and execute software system testing and validation procedures and programming, and document test results.
- Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
- Prepare appropriate configuration and change management documentation that provides the detailed workflow and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operation.
- Provide operations and maintenance of operational systems.
- Develop or contribute to the development of user instructions or manuals.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's level degree in Computer Science or any related degree
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Experience with C# (.NET) and/or Java (J2EE/EJB)
- Experience with Object Relational Mappers such as Entity Framework or NHibernate
- Experience with SQL Server(T-SQL) and/or Oracle (PL/SQL)
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON
- Well-versed using version control systems e.g. GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps
- All Levels:
- Junior-Level: 1- 2 years of professional work experience
- Compensation: $61,600 - $96,250
- Mid-Level: 3-5 years of professional work experience
- Compensation: $74,500 - $116,425
- Senior-Level: 5-10 years of professional work experience
- Compensation: $99,100 - $154,825
- Expert-Level: 10 or more years of professional work experience
- Compensation: 109,100 - $170,450
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team on multiple tasks using Agile Scrum
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proactive attitude is a must
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure
- Experience with Single-Page Applications e.g. Angular, React, Vue
- Experience with containerization e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience with microservice architecture
- Experience with DevOps pipelines
- Experience with database design
- Experience with applying machine learning
- Interest in design patterns, application security, code quality
- Cleared at a DoD Secret level

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws.The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
Posted Salary Range: USD $61,600.00 - USD $170,450.00 /Yr.
