Position Overview:

This individual will lead high-complexity projects, potentially managing multiple projects at once, following industry best practices and established project management methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Lead complex, enterprise-level projects, such as new product/service launches, large-scale application development, business application migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and more.
• Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders across multiple business areas, including IT, architecture, analytics, and security teams, to ensure successful project delivery.
• Methodology Compliance: Execute projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, following BCBS (Blue Cross Blue Shield) standards.
• Risk & Dependency Management: Identify, manage, and escalate project risks and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Budget Management: Develop, refine, and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial processes and approved allocations.
• Change Control: Manage scope, schedule, and budget changes through the project change request process.
• Contract Compliance: Oversee vendor partnerships, ensuring contracted work adheres to project timelines, scope, and quality standards.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear project updates, deliverables, and escalate issues as needed to meet project goals.
• Documentation: Ensure all necessary project documentation (requirements, design documents, test plans, etc.) are produced and approved according to project timelines.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 7+ years of project management experience, managing high-complexity projects within a matrixed environment. Healthcare experience is a plus.
• Project Delivery Skills: Proven experience leading projects with cross-functional teams and multiple vendor partnerships.
• Project Methodology Knowledge: Strong knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Soft Skills: Highly developed interpersonal skills, assertive communication, and the ability to resolve conflicts and escalate issues effectively.
• Scheduling and Organizational Skills: Skilled in project scheduling, tracking, and team coordination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Strong skills in using Microsoft Office applications to track project progress and communicate with stakeholders.
• Self-Starter: Ability to hit the ground running with minimal guidance.
