Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY:

The AGM Steakhouse position is responsible for supervising all front-of-the-house restaurant operations and employees in specified food outlet during an assigned shift and assist in supervision of all other food & beverage outlets as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

May include but are not limited to:

  • Opens and closes shift or work area at scheduled times; ensuring outlet is fully prepared for operation, as well as ensuring cleanliness and security of company assets.
  • Maintains administrative functions, such as scheduling, time and attendance records, and appraisals to ensure appropriate staffing levels and that team members are performing duties according to established service standards.
  • Assists in monitoring department budget to ensure efficient use of labor and other resources to achieve effective operation of the department.
  • Monitors guest service and satisfaction by interviewing guests and by observing food ratings to make recommendations for improvement to maintain high service standards and a positive dining experience for guests.
  • Resolves guest concerns or complaints to maintain positive guest relations.
  • Inspects food outlet daily to ensure a safe work environment, that equipment is operating properly and that sufficient supplies are on hand to achieve smooth operation of the department.
  • Attends and participates in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
  • Perform work regularly and predictably.

  • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Management of a high-volume restaurant, bar, or similar business.
  • Standard safety and sanitation practices for food and beverage service.
  • Applicable computer systems.
  • Various positions within the restaurant, e.g., host/hostess, dining room attendant, waitperson, etc.
  • Food, food product, food preparation, etc.
  • Service, service etiquette, and standard service practices for full-service restaurants.

  • Present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
  • Deliver programs which create a service level of excellence for internal and external guests.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of team members and outside contacts.
  • Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Act professionally with a constantly changing internal and external environment.
  • Monitor and control cash flow and security of assets.
  • Link scheduling to customer flow.
  • Observe and direct actions of subordinates monitor all activity within the dining room and to inspect and maintain areas for which responsible.
  • Maintain bar operations.

Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years fine dining experience with at least one (1) year in management preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of wines required; sommelier background preferred.
  • College degree in business or related field preferred but may be waived with extensive experience in the field in a similar capacity.
  • Experience in casino or hotel environment preferred.
  • Must be familiar with financial data and cost control techniques.
  • Proven ability in developing budgets and business plans.
  • Proven ability in writing documentation, procedures, and training programs.
  • Project management experience (writing a project plan, measuring progress, delivering results).
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, team building, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks at once.
  • Ability to compile, compute, and analyze pertinent data needed for reports.
  • Ability to work with the POS sys

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed on the Casino Floor in a fast-paced, guest-smoking environment, with constant exposure to general public and excessive noise.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Closing:

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements.

Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.

As part of Seminole Gaming’s employment process, final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to an offer being extended. These background checks may include, but are not limited to:
