We are seeking an outstanding Certified/Registered Medical Assistant to join our talented clinical support team at Northeastern Eye Institute located in Scranton, PA. In this role, your primary task is to assist with the surgical care of our patients under the supervision of the nursing staff.Additionally, the Medical Assistant will be cross-trained to assist the front desk staff as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between the physician and the patient
- Maintenance of equipment, instruments, and accessories
- General cleanliness, stocking, and inventory of the Clinical area
- Assist with patient admissions, discharging patients, chart preparation, medical records, and other administrative duties
- Maintain a compassionate, professional, and courteous manner with patients at all times
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED certificate
- Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant
- Experience in a clinical setting is strongly preferred
- Experience in ophthalmology is preferred
- MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL TO OTHER LOCATIONS
