We're hiring an Information Security Intern to join our Souderton, PA based Information Security Team.
Responsibilities:
Daily Monitoring. Perform daily operational real-time monitoring and analysis of security events from multiple sources. Investigate potential security incidents and escalate as necessary.
Phish Reports. Analyze user-reported phishing emails. Collaborate with team members to take the appropriate response actions.
Security Awareness Training. Contribute to the development and delivery of security awareness training materials for employees.
Vulnerability Assessments. Participate in vulnerability scanning activities to identify weaknesses in assets. Help prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities based on severity.
Security Research. Curate articles on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies. Conduct research and author reports on information security topics as assigned.
Comply with all laws and regulations that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in computer science, information security, or a related field, or pursing equivalent education or certifications in an information security-related discipline.
Basic understanding of information security principles and concepts.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Hands-on experience using Windows.
Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
