Staff Accountant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented staff accountant to join our team. As a staff accountant, you will be responsible for managing general accounting functions including preparation of journal entries, accounts analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
Responsibilities: Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries. Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements. Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, and enforcing adherence to requirements. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions when needed. Provide support during audits. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in general or tax accounting. CPA certification is a plus but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software. Strong grasp of accounting principles and procedures. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
