Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, and advocate RPA operations guidance for inclusion in USAF and FAA regulatory guidance
- Coordinate domestic and oceanic airspace access for RQ4/RPA Operations with FAA authorities, affected air traffic control facilities, overseas command representatives, and host nation civil/military airspace authorities to include development of Certificate of Authorization or Waiver applications and/or Letters of Agreement/Memorandums of Understanding as applicable
- Coordinate bed down activities for main and forward operating bases
- Participate in the Flight Technical Order Review Board as ACC Representative
- Participate in the Global Hawk System Safety Group as ACC ops representative
- Assist in development and coordination of exercise requirements and objectives to ensure system capabilities are appropriately employed in exercise scenarios
- Assist in preparing and coordinating AF Form 1067s, AF Form 847s, other requirement documents (i.e. CCDs, ICDs, etc.)
- Preparing, reviewing, and commenting on background papers, programming documents, briefings, staff packages, CONOPS, AFIs, joint documents, strategic planning documents, etc. supporting office objectives
Qualifications:
- Must possess an Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university AND 15 years of experience in reconnaissance operations, staff, RQ4/RPA systems or other operational experience within the airborne ISR mission area
- Must be a Military rated pilot expertise in manned or unmanned aircraft required
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of staff experience at the USAF MAJCOM, NAF, or Wing level
- Must be knowledge and understanding of the RQ-4 system, performance, capabilities, mission planning, and concept of operations
- Must be knowledge of emerging Communication, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management requirements and on-going airborne and ground-based sense-and -avoid efforts
- Must be knowledgeable of airspace management and familiarity with air traffic control procedures
