Robert Half's Valued Client, a well-run and financially healthy, privately-held Distribution Company, is seeking a talented Accounting Manager to join its team. The Accounting Manager plays a key role within the company's well run finance function, acting as the right arm to the Controller and helping lead Accounting staff.If you are a proven Senior Accountant with some supervisory experience or an established Accounting Manager, this could be the role for you. This is a hands-on, working Manager position that will handle month-end close, financial statement preparation, GL oversite and assist in managing staff accountants and accounting clerks.

Responsibilities:
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements
- Conduct month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
- Work with outside CPA firm to ensure timely completion of company financial review and tax return and maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Handle Inventory accounting and analysis
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities to support business planning and decision-making
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making
- Assist Controller with oversight of all accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for various accounting tasks

- Minimum of 5 years of full range accounting experience including Supervisory experience
- Proficiency in ERP Accounting Software Systems
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Strong GAAP knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity and dependability
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
