Ruby on Rails Software Engineer

We are in the market for a Ruby on Rails Software Engineer to join our team. As a key player in our company, you will be tasked with creating, modifying, and maintaining our software applications using the Ruby on Rails framework. • Develop and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement new features
• Debug issues in the existing codebase and come up with solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge
• Test software applications and systems for functionality
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure user-friendly interfaces
• Stay current with the latest developments and technologies in the Ruby on Rails space
• Work on improving application performance
• Ensure the scalability of our applications to meet future business needs. • Proficient in Ruby on Rails programming language
• Strong understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful
• A knack for writing clean, readable Ruby code
• Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Able to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools e.g. Git, Mercurial or SVN
• Familiarity with development aiding tools such as Bower, Bundler, and Rake
• Familiarity with continuous integration
