Robert Half - Dispatcher

This is a split shift role, M-F, 6:00am-10am and 1:00pm-5:00pm. You will succeed here if you are open to a fast-moving environment and enjoy being agile with conversations and customer support.

Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming calls on a multi-line phone system
• Utilize two-way radios for communication with bus drivers
• Deliver exceptional customer service to parents, school staff, and employees
• Perform receptionist duties as needed
• Support in dispatch office operations
• Resolve inquiries and issues promptly and professionally
• Assist in maintaining order and efficiency in the dispatch office
• Engage with public schools as part of customer service
• Monitor and manage dispatching activities efficiently.
• Proven experience in dispatching within the transport industry
• Outstanding customer service skills and ability to handle queries effectively
• Familiarity with public school transport systems
• Proficiency in answering multi-line phone systems
• Experience in using two-way radio communication
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions
• Good geographical knowledge and understanding of transport routes
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to effectively communicate with drivers and customers
• Proficient in using computer software and systems relevant to dispatch operations
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• High school diploma or equivalent education level.
