Accounts Payable Clerk

We are searching for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the non-profit industry located in New York, New York. This role offers an opportunity for long-term contract employment. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, your primary duties will involve handling accounts payable processes, using Oracle and Microsoft Excel, and ensuring accurate invoice entries.

• Manage and process accounts payable transactions in an accurate manner.
• Utilize Oracle for various accounting functions, ensuring data accuracy.
• Use Microsoft Excel to maintain and analyze financial data.
• Ensure all invoices are accurately entered into the system for payment.
• Address any inquiries related to accounts payable and provide timely responses.
• Monitor customer accounts and take required action based on account status.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records.
• Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency.
• Resolve customer inquiries regarding their accounts or credit applications.
• Collaborate with the team to assist with year-end financial tasks. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Experience with Oracle software is necessary
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required
• Ability to accurately enter invoices in a timely manner
• Excellent organizational skills, particularly in managing financial documents
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in a non-profit environment is preferred, but not required
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
