Job Title: Quality Assurance Technical Analyst
Duration: 6 Months (Tentative)

Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)

Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technical Analyst to design, develop, and execute test cases using both manual and automated methods. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior team members, and providing backup support for the test manager.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, defect tracking, and requirements analysis while ensuring compliance with functional and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in defect triage meetings and stand-up calls with business teams, providing insights on defects and root cause analysis.
  • Apply broad knowledge of testing approaches and techniques for software certification.
  • Participate in weekly defect remediation calls to resolve long-standing and warranty defects.
  • Collaborate in Joint Application Design (JAD) and scope sessions with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute test plans and reusable test cases based on functional requirements and use cases.
  • Conduct various testing activities, including requirements verification, functional, security, regression, positive/negative, and post-production validation.
  • Set up test environments and execute load and automation testing.
  • Analyze test results critically, making data-driven recommendations and adhering to escalation processes.
  • Work closely with the SQA Manager to align testing efforts with project deadlines.
  • Perform gap analysis and advise testers on creating new test scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain test automation scripts while providing technical support.
  • Generate and distribute Test Summary Reports after each testing cycle.

Technical Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience with HIPAA ANSI X12 standards and EDI transactions (834, 820, 270, 271, 837, 999) with knowledge of Managed Care/Member systems.
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
  • Experience in testing interfaces that interact with cloud services.
  • Technical proficiency in Oracle SQL Developer, C, C++, Java, Groovy, UNIX scripting, LoadRunner, and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with performance testing, preferably using SaaS LoadRunner.
  • Strong Selenium skills with core Java expertise.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to work both independently and within project teams, providing quality assurance services across various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze test results and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Experience with Health and Human Services applications or governmental data processing applications is preferred.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in reviewing the work of business analysts and junior test analysts to ensure well-defined requirements and functional use cases.
