We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in Chicago, Illinois. This role is primarily positioned within the technology industry, focusing on providing support for a mixed Mac/Windows environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including service desk support, media management, and desktop support. The role also involves the potential of server/cloud management.
Responsibilities:- Provide reliable desktop support for 300 end users.
- Offer service desk support, addressing and resolving IT related inquiries and issues.
- Manage media tasks with enthusiasm and a proactive approach to learning.
- Ensure smooth operation in a mixed Mac/Windows environment, with a particular focus on Windows.
- Handle potential server/cloud management tasks.
- Participate in an ongoing project to inventory all equipment, using an Excel sheet for tracking.
- Maintain availability for work on weekends as required.
- Ensure proximity to the water tower campus for efficient and quick response times.
- Utilize a range of skills including Android Development, Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, Computer Hardware, Dell Technologies, Active Directory, Apple Devices, Backup Technologies, and Configuration Management. • Proficient in Android Development, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Technologies, including the ability to configure and manage networks.
- Demonstrated experience with Citrix Technologies, specifically in deploying and managing virtual applications and desktops.
- Solid understanding of Computer Hardware, including the ability to diagnose and fix hardware issues.
- Experience in working with Dell Technologies, notably in system management and data protection.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, with the capacity to manage user accounts and perform access controls.
- Proficiency in handling Apple Devices, including troubleshooting, software updates, and device configuration.
- Knowledge of Backup Technologies, with the ability to implement backup solutions and perform data recovery.
- Experience in Configuration Management, with the skill to maintain and update software, servers, and other systems.
