Advanced Warehouse Operator - Level I
DESCRIPTION**
We are looking for a talented Warehouse Operator (1 st Shift) to join our team in Dallas, TX.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
+ Under some supervision, enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock/inventory and training records.
+ These activities may include responding to customer escalations, order allocation, part profile & inventory records; preparing reports, training operators, customs compliance processes, domestic and international transportation related procedures and completing forms (receipt, transfer, delivery, dispatch, etc.)
+ Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse
+ Receive incoming goods; check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices
+ Operates manual and automated equipment to pick, pack and ship product per the customer expectations.
+ Evaluates and selects appropriate transportation mode and equipment type by lane through shipment volume analysis against business requirements to provide optimal shipping method.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
+ High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
+ Requires Cummins provided certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (reach trucks, order pickers, pallet rider, etc..) and/or other heavy machinery.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports and advanced level computer skills.
+ Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment
+ This is a fast-paced warehouse environment, there will be a lot of standing and lifting.
+ Please note, this is a first shift position, the hours will be 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Thursday.
+ This position does not require and Department of Transportation (DOT) related pre-screenings.
