Position Summary:We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Secretary III - Perlmutter Cancer Center Radiation Oncology at NYU Langone - Mineola. In this role, the successful candidate Performs secretarial and administrative duties to maintain and support the department Duties include compiling information preparing reports maintaining department accounts; coordinates department activities of a project or program; prepares and processes correspondence agendas general papers; prepares purchasing and timekeeping information Coordinates department computing and software resources Assists with the organization maintenance and flow of information throughout the department Serves as a liaison with other departments and staff
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains calendar of activities coordinates and arranges special events for assigned staff; screens and answers phones; coordinates activities and meetings with other departments andor outside agencies; coordinates arrangements and sets up meeting rooms; notifies participants; prepares andor assembles meeting materials May take minutes
- Performs a wide variety of varied complex sensitive highly responsible and confidential office
- Interacts with staff members to update project documentation as necessary Creates and maintains various databases Compiles prepares and enters into a computer from various sources including accounting statistical and related documents creates and maintains computer based tracking information and reports including assigned database records and list; creates standard statistical spreadsheets; inputs corrections and updates
- Performs other duties as assigned
- administrative secretarial advanced clerical and programmatic support functions in support of assigned department; relieves department head of administrative work and providing assistance in resolving operational and administrative problems Assists in the compilation of reports
- Coordinates project or program department computing and software resources which may include a web page
- Attends to a variety of office administrative details such as ordering supplies arranging for equipment repair transmitting information and keeping reference materials up to date Distributes information handles incoming and outgoing mail packages and other special shipments
- Creates and maintains accurate and up to date electronic and hard copy files records and logs for files Develops prepares and monitors various log accounts and files for current and accurate information including manual and computer logs other specialized or technical documents processed Organizes and maintains office and specialized files in accordance with the WUH s records management program
To qualify you must have a High School or the Equivalent required Minimum three 3 years of related experience in a secretarial role required Strong communication both oral and written multitasking detail oriented organizational customer service and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel Word and Outlook Knowledge of office procedures

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,891.92 - $66,472.87 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
