Contemporary Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant in Berkley, Michigan to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.
Position Overview:As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Status: Full-Time
Monday 8:30am-7pm, Tuesday 7:30am-6pm, Wednesday 7:30am-4pm & Thursday 7:30am-4pm

Responsibilities:
- Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
- Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
Qualifications:
- 1 year months on-the-job-experience
- X-Ray certification
- Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
- High school diploma or equivalent
Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
