Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable and Collections Clerk to join our team based on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that has experience recent growth. The company has a family oriented culture and an amazing team to learn from.

The hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30AM-4:00 PM. This is an in office position. They are ideally looking for someone who has a strong background in general accounting and collections expeirence.

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing customer credit applications, ensuring the accuracy of customer records, and resolving any customer inquiries. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions when necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently processing customer credit applications
  • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate customer credit records
  • Resolving customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner
  • Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action where necessary
  • Applying cash collections to customer accounts as per their payment status
  • Conducting account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of records
  • Collaborating with other teams to resolve any discrepancies in accounts receivable records
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards in all tasks
  • Utilizing accounting software and tools to streamline the accounts receivable process
  • Providing regular reports on accounts receivable status to the management team.

  • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.
  • Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed.
  • Ability to perform Cash Collections is a must.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software is a plus.
  • Understanding of general accounting principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
