Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse CWR - MSTELERN24-15471

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required, holidays as needed. No on-call required.

Job Summary:

Key duties include planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. The role involves therapeutic nursing interventions, managing patient care, and providing evidence-based, patient-centric care.

This position requires the ability to float to other departments, including the Emergency Department (ED), to care for admitted patients awaiting beds. Ventilator experience with patients on tracheostomies is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients and assist physicians in patient care.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Document care according to standards.
• Float as needed, including to the ED.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a MS/Tele unit within a major acute care hospital setting.
• Strong MS/Tele background.
• Float requirement, including to ED.

Preferred Skills & Experience: Ventilator experience (patients with tracheostomies).

Education & Certifications:

• Required: ASN
• Preferred: BSN
• Licensure: NJ State RN license or multi-state compact license
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS, Telemetry, CEU Contact Stroke (4 hours)
