Robert Half Lexington is in search of a meticulous Data Entry Clerk to join a team based in Frankfort, Kentucky. The individual will be instrumental in assisting with ensuring accurate data transfer and clean-up on an ecommerce platform; product serial numbers, colors, quantities, etc.
This role involves a high level of detail and repetitiveness, requiring the ability to work independently and proactively.
Responsibilities- Accurately transfer data from one system to an e-commerce platform as part of a system conversion.
- Verify and correct product information, such as product numbers, prices, and colors.
- Use ChatGPT to generate new product descriptions if needed.
- Independently handle high volumes of data, approximately 300 part numbers daily.
- Follow procedural manuals to verify correct information, ensuring high data integrity.
- Ask pertinent questions and apply deductive reasoning to future queries, minimizing repetitive questioning.
- Utilize Excel spreadsheets for data entry and other tasks.
- Potentially transition to a Customer Service Representative role, handling customer inquiries and processing orders.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status.
- Assist in processing customer credit applications and maintain accurate records.
- Proficient in computer data entry, including the ability to efficiently handle high-volume data entry tasks.
- Ability to assist customers professionally and promptly, ensuring their needs and queries are addressed.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in all data entry tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective customer interaction.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize work based on urgency and importance.
- Basic understanding of office equipment operation such as printers, scanners, and photocopiers.
- Familiarity with using office software such as MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tasks efficiently.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
