Responsibilities- Prepare machines: Set up machines for use by installing components and attachments
- Thread machines: Thread loom shuttles with cross-yarn arms
- Feed machines: Position and feed machines with fiber packages
- Operate machines: Start machines and monitor their operation for faults
- Make repairs: Tie and splice broken yarn ends
- Inspect products: Examine finished products for defects and variations
- Perform quality control: Carry out quality control procedures
- Maintain machines: Perform routine maintenance, replace needles, and make small adjustments
- Keep machines clean: Keep machines clean and free from waste material
- Log processing information: Maintain a daily log of processing information and changes to each knitting machine
