ANTS Sports is seeking a Site Lead for after-school programs in San Francisco

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the After-School Program Site Lead is responsible for daily onsite supervision, program implementation, and youth/staff development. This position is responsible for maintaining a FUN, safe, and engaging after-school program, ensuring a high level of program quality that will expose youth to various sports, and working to establish a positive relationship with all program stakeholders and families.

The primary responsibility for this role is to create a sports program that is compliant with the Youth Development Principles of ANTS Sports.

Position Dates: Must be able to work weekday afternoons from August 19, 2024 – June 4, 2025. High performers will receive year-round job security in summer camps and after-school programs.

Requirements
  • Coach various sports to K-5th children in a fun, age-appropriate, and high-energy manner.
  • Arrive on time every day for the entire season and ensure a safe and reliable program.
  • Ensure your team of 3-4 coaches are prepared to execute the day's sports curriculum.
  • Lead meetings with a group of 15-25 kids to establish or reinforce class agreements (e.g., STAR sportsmanship, safety rules).
  • Assist with staff training to reinforce ANTS Sports procedures and protocol.
  • Respond to any on-site incidents with care and follow ANTS procedures.
  • Follow standard procedures for different behavior issues (shyness, verbal abuse, etc).
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, and school staff.
  • Dismiss children safely according to site location needs.
  • Set up the equipment before and clean up after your program.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Love for all sports and physical activity
  • Love being outdoors on your feet for extended periods
  • Ability to communicate effectively with K-5th children and adults alike
  • Minimum 21 years old
  • Associate's Degree or higher
  • Must be available Mondays-Fridays from 1:30 pm
  • 5 pm (and 12:30
  • 5 pm on Wednesdays)
  • 2+ years of experience working with youth programs
  • 6+ months in a supervisory role
  • CPR and First Aid certification (training is available upon hire)
  • Fingerprint background check clearance
  • TB Test clearance
