Accounts Payable Clerk

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the construction/contractor industry. The workplace is located in Whittier, California, 90601, United States. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be tasked with ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions, managing accounts payables, and maintaining strong communication with all departments.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications and ensure their efficient handling
• Keep accurate records of customer credit
• Monitor customer accounts and take the necessary actions when required
• Verify and post receipts to secure revenue, while resolving any discrepancies
• Match vendor receivers with the purchase order placed by the Purchasing department
• Review, manage, and process all Accounts Payables in Sage 100
• Ensure timely and correct payments to all Vendors and Service Providers
• Directly resolve invoice discrepancy matters with Vendors and through purchasing
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on payables, overtime, and receivers for upper management
• Ensure vendors receive invoices and bills in a timely manner
• Maintain daily communication between Accounts payable and all departments and corporate entities.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Accounts Payable or a related field.
• Proven experience with Sage 100 software is a requirement.
• Strong skills in Account Reconciliation are essential.
• Experience with Bank Account Reconciliation is required.
• Applicants must have experience in Credit Card Reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Computer Data Entry is necessary.
• Demonstrated ability in Data Entry tasks is crucial.
• Prior experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is a must.
