Job Summary

Skilled and detail-oriented Honing Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining honing machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. The Honing Machinist will work with various metals and materials, ensuring high quality and adherence to tight tolerances.

• Set up and prepare honing machines according to job specifications and blueprints.
• Load parts into the machine and adjust machine controls to ensure proper operation.
• Monitor machine operation and adjust as necessary to maintain quality and productivity.
• Select and mount honing tools, stones, and abrasives based on material and finish requirements.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Perform routine maintenance on honing machines and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all company safety guidelines and procedures.
• Document production and quality data accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with foreman, quality control, and other team members to resolve issues and improve processes.
