Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and management of financial statements for investments within private equity, hedge funds, and other investment vehicles.
• Oversee general ledger activity, monthly closings, and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and reporting deadlines.
• Provide detailed financial analysis and ad hoc project support to help guide investment and portfolio management decisions.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard family office assets and investments.
• Assist with the preparation of tax schedules and coordination of tax filings.
• Research and apply the appropriate accounting principles and standards for investment fund reporting.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA license is highly preferred.
• Preferred: 4+ years in public accounting with a tax focus on private equity clients or investment funds.
• Alternatively: Strong private equity or investment fund accounting experience (fund accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance).
• Technical Knowledge: Expertise in investment-related accounting practices and knowledge of tax laws as they relate to private equity or investment fund structures.
• Systems Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting/reporting systems related to investment management.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical ability, excellent organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail. The candidate must also demonstrate discretion and confidentiality when working within a UHNW family office environment.

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of detail oriented experience in tax or accounting
• Proficiency in Complex Investment Partnership Tax
• Experience in Public Accounting is essential
• Must have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification
• Familiarity with Private Equity Fund operations is strongly preferred
