Job Title: Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute Care Inpatient
Location: Fort Worth, Texas

Job Type: Contract, First Shift (8-Hour Days)

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join our team in an acute care inpatient setting. This role involves delivering high-quality physical therapy services to patients within a Level 1 Trauma hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care and a strong commitment to providing patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Physical Therapy Services: Provide assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapies to improve patient mobility, function, and quality of life.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient recovery and meet therapeutic goals.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Accurately document patient progress, treatment responses, and any adjustments to therapy plans, following hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, lifestyle modifications, and post-discharge care to promote ongoing recovery.
  • Utilize Specialized Knowledge: Apply skills specific to trauma and acute care settings to address complex medical cases.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state of Texas.
  • Experience: At least one year of recent experience in an acute care hospital setting, with preference for experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, a patient-centered approach, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, acute care environment.

  • Knowledge of Acute Care Therapy: Familiarity with managing physical therapy needs in an inpatient setting, including post-surgical recovery, trauma, and medically complex cases.
  • Team Collaboration: Effective communication with healthcare professionals to support cohesive patient care.
  • Commitment to Safety and Compliance: Ability to follow all hospital safety and regulatory protocols, especially within a trauma-focused setting.
