Staff Accountant

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Kent, Ohio area. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of accounting functions, such as reconciling general ledger accounts, posting journal entries, and assisting with financial reporting.

You will also play a vital role in our financial audit preparation, daily sales tracking across multiple manufacturing plants, and cash reporting.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile various general ledger accounts, ensuring all details and supporting schedules are updated.
Input and post journal entries with the appropriate supporting documentation.
Assist in the preparation of reports required for financial reporting.
Support the preparation of information for annual and interim audits conducted by an external CPA firm.
Monitor and track daily sales across our manufacturing facilities.
Oversee daily cash reporting and manage inbound banking operations.
Assist with weekly check runs and ACH/wire transfers.
Help maintain fixed asset systems at each manufacturing plant.
Prepare and file use tax returns and other miscellaneous state or federal forms as required.
Assist in all areas of the month-end close process.
Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing relevant financial data.
Suggest improvements to accounting systems to enhance the processing of accounting and financial information.
Contribute to special projects as directed by the Director of Finance or FP& A Manager
Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and management
Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately
Familiarity with General Ledger operations and maintenance
Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries
Proficiency in executing Month End Close procedures
Knowledge and hands-on experience with NetSuite accounting software
Proficiency in using Oracle for accounting purposes
Experience with QuickBooks accounting software
Familiarity with SAP and its applications in accounting
