We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant based in Irving, Texas. The Staff Accountant will be a critical part of our team, with responsibilities that span across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
The role requires a thorough understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure accurate billing to insurance companies for each claim made
- Apply payments to the appropriate accounts as they come in, taking into account varying billing cycles from different insurance companies
- Assist with Accounts Payable duties as and when required
- Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy
- Assist with the preparation of Profit & Loss statements
- Maintain and update customer credit records accurately
- Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency
- Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on account status
- Ensure all journal entries are recorded accurately and timely
- Assist in month-end close procedures. • Proficiency in the use of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) software
- Demonstrable experience in Bank Reconciliations
- Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries procedures
- Proven skills in Month End Close operations
- Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting tasks
- Experience with Oracle ERP system in a financial setting
- Knowledge of QuickBooks software for accounting purposes
- Experience with SAP financial software system
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of current financial regulations and standards.
