Registered Nurse Critical Care Unit - RNCCU24-14468

Duration: 13 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients in the CCU, utilizing advanced nursing techniques and critical thinking skills. Patients may have life-threatening conditions, requiring continuous monitoring and intervention.
• Continuously assess patients’ vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and oxygen levels. Utilize advanced technology and equipment to monitor patients’ condition.
• Administer medications, including IV fluids, vasopressors, sedatives, and pain medications as per protocol. Ensure accurate dosage, timely administration, and monitor patient response.
• Manage ventilators, intubated patients, and other life-supporting devices. Ensure proper functioning and respond promptly to alarms or changes in patient condition.
• Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to the needs of critically ill patients.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families, explaining treatment plans, medical procedures, and critical care interventions.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed patient records. Document all interventions, medications administered, and patient progress in compliance with hospital policies.
• Act quickly and effectively during emergencies such as cardiac arrest or respiratory failure. Perform CPR and other life-saving measures according to hospital protocols.

Requirements:

Licensure:

• Valid RN license in Michigan.

Experience:

• Prior experience in Critical Care or Intensive Care Nursing (at least 1-2 years preferred).

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
