Seniorprincipal Systems Engineer

SciTec, Inc. is a rapidly expanding small business which develops and delivers advanced sensor processing technologies in support of national security and defense missions.

This work will be performed collaboratively with both customer representatives and with SciTec technical staff.

• Coordination with acquisition staff andend-users to elicit, detail, and document operational concepts and stakeholder needs for the integration of novel sensors with ground processing and exploitation systems
• Development and analysis of ground processing system requirements which address identified stakeholder needs
• Support to SciTec development teams in the design of system architectures which meet established requirements and align with customer concepts of operations
• Supporting the documentation of operational concepts, stakeholder needs, system requirements, and system architectures using Model-Based Systems Engineering tools
• Support to staff mentoring and process improvement within the SciTec systems engineering team
• Additional duties as require and assigned

• Current SECRET DoD or DoE clearance
• Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience in engineering, software, or space operations
• At least two years supporting the architecture, design, development, or operations of space sensing or communications systems
• Ability to travel domestically to coordinate with customer representatives (for planning purposes, approximately once per month)
• Detail Oriented
• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Current TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information
• Demonstrated experience with systems engineering processes, particularly stakeholder needs analysis, requirements analysis, and architecture design
• Academic credentials or industry certification (e.g. INCOSE) in systems engineering.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Experience with the design or operation of Overhead Persistent Infrared sensor systems, ground segments, or exploitation tooling
• Experience with the design or operation of proliferated satellite constellations or their associated communications and ground systems
• Experience with conducting data-driven trade studies, including the development and use of simulation tools.
• Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering tools and techniques. Familiarity with the Cameo suite of tools is particularly desired
