Electromechanical Technician
You will work closely with engineers to ensure that systems meet specifications and are delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test electromechanical systems and components.
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues in electromechanical systems.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Maintain tools and equipment used in the assembly and testing processes.
- Document test results and assist in preparing reports for engineering review.
- Work with engineers to improve assembly processes and product reliability.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations in the workplace.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
The position involves working in both office and laboratory environments, requiring communication and interaction with team members, management, and clients.
Requirements
Physical Requirements:
Requires prolonged periods of standing and manual dexterity for assembling delicate components. Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds may be necessary.
Qualifications:
An High School diploma required with Associates degree preferred in electronics, mechanical engineering technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Hands-on experience with assembling and testing electromechanical systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with CAD software is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electromechanical systems.
- Certifications in technician fields such as soldering, electronics assembly or cabling is a plus.
